The Next Tale Told : Can You Decipher ?

Adam and Eve

Sat under a tree

Knowing naught of what is or what is not to be

Yet each individual told their tale

Scientist told in which true to be believed

Evolution was what happened

From our cousins The Primates they calimed

Ridicule truly, What nonsense we exclaimed,

Yet proof lay within the walls of which they lived

Substantial proof that we once lived the simple life

However how simple could it have been ?

When there were secret tunnels and hidden passage ways were discovered

A civilization lived, more advanced than us no doubt

“Let the past relive itself” an innovative mind thought

A short experience for every individual

Creating a parallel world within

Of which consist of deep passage ways and quiet privacy

An unconventional dating experience

One of which Adam and Eve would nod in approval of

History ?? Asked the curious reader

A riddle of which two entirely different characters merge

Hmm… Adam and Eve in convention with today’s dating experience

Utter privacy under the public eye

Hmmm… very peculiar…

Hard Rock.

From wall to wall the icons sat

Nodding approval of each kind word said

Remembered and loved had they stayed

A simple form of remembrance turned hot red

More then what it were made to meant

Now became an escape, a fantasy

A museum of the great

An archive to the need be inspired

An encouragement to the hope lost

A true emporium of expressions

Tales told through what could not be seen or touched

And yet swayed the hearts of so many

Hmm… fiddled the riddle the curious reader did

A riddle of hope ? fantasy ? inspiration ? Expressions ?

From something one could not see nor touch ?

Ahh.. But hear perhaps ! it must be the melodious sound of music

Plainly heard but touches something much deeper

But an archive ? a museum ? An Emporium ?

Nodded approvingly, well and truly said

Murmured the curious reader

For it is the perfect description of the Utterly Unique

History

clip_image002

It started with an Eric Clapton guitar (a Fender Lead II, for the gearheads in the audience). The beginning of something that nobody even knew was beginning.

It was just a goof. A laugh. A joke among friends.

Back in the seventies, Clapton - the original guitar god, founder of Cream and Derek & the Dominoes, creator of the immortal "Layla" - liked to eat at this quirky American diner in London called the Hard Rock Cafe. The place was this funky old building that used to be a Rolls Royce dealership, and it was run by a couple of young Americans who liked to keep it loose. Founded by Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton, two enterprising and music-loving Americans, Hard Rock Cafe was an instant classic. You could be yourself at the Hard Rock. It was good food and a good time.

So Clapton got to be friends with the proprietors and asked them to save him a regular table, put up a brass plaque or something. And the young proprietors said, “Why don't we put up your guitar?” They all had a chuckle, and he handed over a guitar, and they slapped it on the wall.

No one thought much more about it. Until a week later, when another guitar arrived (a Gibson Les Paul, by the way). With it was a note from Pete Townshend of The Who which read: "Mine's as good as his. Love, Pete."

Victoria Station

Victoria Station

Tagline : "Victoria Station The House Of Fine Steak"
Victoria Station restaurant has built it's reputation as the country's premier family restaurant for steaks, seafood and salad.

Victoria Station was also a restaurant, not a railroad station.

A BRIEF HISTORY

Victoria Station
is a chain of railroad-themed prime rib houses that was at the peak of its popularity in the 1970s , but filed for bankruptcy in 1986. The concept evolved from a Cornell University Hotel School graduate project, according to original owners Bob Freeman, Peter Lee, and Dick Bradley, graduates of the school. Innovative and unique, the first restaurant was located in San Francisco. The Baby Boom generation was coming into their own, and in the early 70's was looking for casual lounges and restaurants to adopt as their own. Other locations with the name Victoria Station may be under different management (unverified).

THEME

The theme of the restaurant is loosely based on London's Victoria Station. Antique English railway artifacts provided the decor inside, but the exteriors were composed of American Railway cars, primarily boxcars, with a signature Caboose placed in front. On the "entry platform" to each restaurant was an iconic London-style phone booth. Prime rib was the featured item on a limited menu that included steaks , barbecued beef ribs, and shrimp done in a variation of scampi style known as "Shrimp Victoria" Most of the restaurants used authentic railway cars for dining areas. The chain flourished, often flamboyantly, in the 1970s , as recounted in a memoir Prime Rib and Boxcars:Whatever Happened to Victoria Station? by former Victoria Station corporate marketing manager Tom Blake.

DINE IN EXPERIENCE

It was indeed a very great and unforgettable experience dining in Victoria Station. Why? It is very special with the "train" theme and the feeling of having a meal there is different compared to a normal restaurant. Besides, the food there are quite tasty too. The customer service provided are indeed the best and you can see a smiley face in each and every waiter and waitress. In addition, we were given the choice to choose to sit in the smoking or non-smoking zone as the non-smoking zone is a little bit squeezed up. Overall, we had a great day spending time dining in Victoria Station and we were satisfied with everything there. You should try having a meal at Victoria Station if you have not. Guarantee no regrets.
